The Department of Tourism Posters

Why just wish for a place in the sun when you can own one? Find your perfect home on one of our 7,107 islands. The Philippines. Live your dreams.

The campaign wants to tap into people who can afford to buy a second home. But then the economy dropped and well, I wonder if people still want to invest their money on property when cash is king.

Hot damn! My campaign got featured.

When we first started this campaign, we had a field day looking for the perfect local Filipino artists. May Ann Licudine was at the top of my list. David loved her work straight away, but she kept refusing us at first because of some other project she had somewhere else. I was like, but we're BBDO. Hehe! We had no clout.

I called her for the nth time and she finally agreed to come down from a province up north.

We also used her style for the tv commercial. It breaks on November 3. I can't wait. It's an organically illustrated 30 second commercial. No vector graphics.

Department of Tourism, Philippines

In this ad, we show the foreigner living in the middle of a dream. The copy reads: Why just wish for a place in the sun when you can own one? Find your perfect home on one of our 7,107 islands. The Philippines. Live you dreams. www.liveyourdreams.ph

Proud to say that it just came out in Time, The Economist and Forbes. Executive creative directors for this ad were: David Guerrero, Joel Limchoc and Simon Welsh.

The tv commercial is fully animated nad breaks this November 3. I can't wait. Will post it the moment it comes out.

The website is still being worked on, but check it out anyway: www.liveyourdreams.ph

Chronotebook: Non-Linear Day Planner

This is really a good idea. Both pages represent one day. AM and PM (left and right respectively). It's up to you on how creative you want to get.

The planner was Wong Kok Kiong's idea, recipient of the Muji Award.

You can order your Chronotebook through the Muji Store in New York. You can reach them at (212) 382 2300. Too bad they aren't available at Amazon yet.
